Requirement.

* Must be in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water
* Able to swim 300 meters with fins, mask and snorkel using any stroke as long as you move!
* Swim/Float in water for 10 mins.

Theory Section

5 modules of dive theory session to develop your knowledge in diving. This is usually conducted on a Tuesday evening at Gill Divers from 6.50pm to 10pm. During the dive theory session, the scuba instructors will go through the completed knowledge reviews and evaluate any mistakes or areas where divers are uncertain or need more explanation. Upon complete understanding of the uncertainties, student divers are required to sit through a quiz followed by a 50 questions MCQ final review.

To improve your knowledge of dive equipment and their usage, our dive instructors will show you around the dive store with dive equipment to show student divers what basic diving gear should be acquired to improve their diving experience.

Pool Section

The pool sessions are usually conducted on every Sunday morning from 10.00pm to 3.30pm, at Outram Secondary School.

Divers will also be introduced to the mandatory diving equipment needed during the course. The basic skills essential for diving will be covered and perfected during the time limit. This is to prepare the students for the actual open water dive.

Dive Trip (Fri evening –sun night)

It is the most important and exciting part of the course. The skills and knowledge learnt in the theory and pool class will be applied and tested here. of course it’s not all lesson and no fun. You’ll be able to explore the dive site after the set of skills is covered.

Depending on the package you have selected (Pulau Tioman, Pulau Dayang, Pulua Redang, Pulau Perhentian and our local Pulau Hantu), you will head out for a weekend of fun, sun, sea and great memories to bring home.
